Starting a company blog also means that we have to show a bit more of ourselves. Building a connection with our followers.
To selfie? Or not to selfie? That's the question.
Seeing the person(s) behind a blog can make me feel triggered, curious and connected. Depening on the pictures offcourse. For us to find out if this works for us. As photographers we love to stand behind the camera instead of in front.
Visiting photo museum Fotografiska in Stockholm learned us that global social media phenomenon “selfies” are not only from this time, but it goes back to 1839. Almost 200 years of selfie history. From Claude Cahun, best known for her striking photographic self-portraits, to Anders Zorn, a Swedish famous painter but also an avid selfie-taker. A fascinating world.
My conclusion till now is that even Anders Zorn managed to do a better job then us 😉
Do we have to overcome our shyness and try harder to be a serious part of the social media bubble? Or not! A portrait, a spontaneous behind the scenes or maybe a lucky shot now and then 😉 We will see.
More to come next time!
